Rolling Stones and AC/DC at the Hockenheimring

Carole and I went to see the Rolling Stones June 22, 2003. When I bought the tickets, I only knew the Stones were the show, but didn't know or hear about any warm-up acts. When we got to the Hockenheimring, a Formula 1 racecar track, we were surprised and pleased to hear that in addition to the Stones, The Pretenders and AC/DC were also in concert! I thought AC/DC stole the show, but both groups had excellent sound production especially for a stadium as large as this, I'd guess maybe 200,000 people or more (though I have no real idea). It was incredibly hot out there, we got there at about 6 PM, show was over at 11PM. Again the show was great, even though after the event we sat motionless in our cars for about 1.5 hours.
